Appointments are encouraged and prioritized, but walk-ins are welcome when time allows. To adopt, please complete an online application or email adopt@lakehumane.org.
We do not hold animals for any reason; we follow a first-come, best-fit adoption policy.
Our adoption process:
- Adoptions are by appointment, with walk-ins accommodated as time permits.
- Visitors must submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting pets.
- Approved adopters can schedule an appointment to meet up to three animals.
- Pets must remain in their kennels during viewing hours.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late, a new appointment must be scheduled.
