Lost Dogs
If your dog is lost or you have found a stray dog, please call the Lake County Dog Kennel at 440-350-2640. If you cannot get in touch with them, contact the Police Department of the city the dog is lost in. The police can bring a dog to the Dog Warden’s facility, if necessary. Studies have shown that the most successful reunions are from owners searching the neighborhood and by returning home on their own.
Online Resources to Help Find Lost Pets
The following resources are available to pet owners who would like to post their missing pets online and on social media.
Microchips Available
We want to ensure that any animal that may become lost will once again be reunited with its loving family. Our organization not only provides every dog and cat with a microchip before they go up for adoption, but we also offer microchipping to the community.
To have your animal microchipped, simply contact our shelter to schedule an appointment by calling (440) 951-6122 ext. 100 or emailing adopt@lakehumane.org. The cost for microchipping is $30.
