LHS Shelter Tour
Whether you’re new to Lake Humane Society or just need a refresher on our layout, this video is the perfect place to begin. Join Savannah as she takes you on a guided tour of our shelter, walking you through each key area volunteers may work in — from the front desk and adoption rooms to dog and cat areas, medical spaces, and more.
This tour will help you feel more confident navigating the shelter and give you a better understanding of how each space supports our mission of helping animals in need.

Events
Want to help out at one of our events? This training is for you!
Our event volunteers are the face of Lake Humane Society out in the community, helping raise awareness, promote our programs, and most importantly, support the animals in our care. Whether you’re assisting at a major fundraiser like Mutt Strut or Santa Paws, representing LHS at a local info booth, or helping with off-site adoptions, your role is essential to our success.
This slideshow, created by our Event Coordinator Miranda, walks you through everything you need to know—from the types of events we participate in to responsibilities, expectations, and how to sign up. It’s a great refresher or starting point for any volunteer looking to get more involved with our outreach and fundraising efforts.
Thank you for helping us make a difference, one event at a time!
