Benefit Events

Each month we team up with local businesses in order to raise money for the animals here at Lake Humane Society. Being a private, non-profit organization we rely solely on donations. Benefit events, like the ones listed below, help us continue to care for the animals at our shelter.

My Pet Silhouette Painting

Join LHS and Create and Unwind for a special "My Pet Silhouette" painting class. At this event you will have then chance to paint the silhouette of your pet! Registration is $30 and $10 of each class purchased will be donated to LHS. Register today!


Saturday, May 20th at 2:00pm | Harmony Studios, 38123 West Spaulding Street, Willoughby

We've teamed up with our friends at Harmony Studios to collide our worlds of animals and yoga for an afternoon you can't resist!

Join Harmony instructor and cat lover Jenifer for a 60-minute all levels Vinyasa class where a few felines will join us. You'll flow and they'll purr their way around the studio and who knows, perhaps they'll break out in an asana or two! Not only will our furry friends accompany us in the studio, but they'll be up for adoption. Bring a friend who is curious about yoga, cats, or both! Register today, space is limited. (SOLD OUT!)

Wine and Canvas: Paint Your Pet Edition

Don't miss out on the chance to paint your pet! This fun event offers wine, light apps, dessert, a sketched canvas of your pet and an artist to help guide you through painting your pet! Be sure to join us at Debonne Vineyards from 5:00-9:30pm for some dinner, wine, and beer! A portion of all food sales (at outdoor grill only) and wine and beer sales will be donated to LHS. Bring your dogs for a night out at the winery to benefit homeless pets right here in Lake County!

Luvin Lavender Festival

Luvin' Lavender Farm's 4th Annual "Art in the Garden" and Lavender Festival will take place Saturday, July 8th from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday, July 9th from 10am-4pm at Luvin' Lavender Farms (5861 Middle Ridge Road in Madison). With almost two acres of various blooms, they are looking forward to having artists, lavender enthusiasts and the general public to come enjoy a day in the natural surroundings of the farm. Artists are encouraged to bring easels, cameras, and supplies, and spend the day creating art in the field. The day will include activities for both the young and the old, such as art classes, crafting classes, pick your own lavender, selected culinary samplings, distillation demonstrations, and more! Admission is $5 per car load and a portion from every admission will be donated to the homeless animals of Lake Humane Society. Be sure to stop by the LHS information booth to see some of our volunteers!

Hogs for Dogs

Saturday, July 8th 10:00am | Western Reserve Harley Davidson in Mentor

Whether you're on a motorcycle, trike, car, truck, or van, join us for a day of fun-filled excitement, the Western Reserve Harley Davidson Hogs for Dogs motorcycle run is sure to be a good time. There will be a total of 5 stops; WRHD being the first. The second, third, and fourth stops will be a bit of a surprise, but will include games of skill and maybe a special appearance by an LHS adoptable dog. The final stop will include a post-run dinner, a DJ, signature martinis, and an auction. This is not a race. We encourage you to enjoy the day, meet new people, and have fun! This event will take place rain or shine and all of the proceeds from the event benefit Lake Humane Society and the homeless pets of Lake County.

Registration is $20 in advance and $25 the day of. Registration includes a t-shirt and post-run dinner. Day-of registration does not guarantee a shirt so we encourage folks to register in advance. Stay tuned for additional registration details!

Aces for the Animals

Saturday, August 12th 11:00am | Force Sports- Eastlake

Aces for the Animals will be a Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament benefiting the Lake Humane Society on Saturday August 12th at 11AM! Presented by Force Sports- Eastlake, this event will have a raffle, live music, lunch provided for players, as well as dogs available for adoption. Don't miss out on this great event for a great cause. Register today!

Ashtabula APL 5K (Part of the Tri-County Ruff Runners Series)

We are heading out to the Ashtabula APL to support their Furocious 5K, part of the Tri-County Ruff Runners Series. Stop by and visit our info table, shop our merchandise and maybe even adopt a dog from the Ashtabula APL!

Stop by Wild Birds Unlimited and meet your new best friend! We will have kittens and a few puppies up for adoption at this event. *Please note that all adoptions must be approved by LHS staff.

PetSmart National Adopt-a-thon
